Threshold Theatre Company
Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
A Musical Thriller.

Brief:
To create social media posts for the company's 2024 production of Sweeney Todd. The posts had to include the show logo, license text copy and all pertinent information to the show. Theatre logos also included.

Following the branding style that ran through all social media and printed media. When text copy wasn't provided I would select and write copy that was either lines from script of the show, or text with links to the shows content.

I created GIFs as part of the social media also, which also incorporate supplied photography once supplied. These were used across the theatre company's social media accounts and the theatre's social meadia accounts.
Working in close collaboration with the client to ensure the social media
posts contained all information needed and was attention grabbing.

Social media content comes with its own complications. Ensuring that resolution
is kept to a high that shows good quality imagery and videos for the audience.
GIF videos need to be at a certain time length for them to work on Instagram
and other social networks, they must also still be short and snappy to
grab the attention of those scrolling through their social feeds.

Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein (2023)

Brief:
To create the social media posts for the company's Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein production. Making them eye catching and fun to draw the attention of people scrolling through their socials.
When copy is not supplied, I will write the copy, proofing it to the client for approval and/or any amendments.

Creating Facebook covers for productions comes with its own complications as the website truncates images when they are uploaded to their site, causing image quality to degrade which the client is often concerned with. After some research I found the resolve to this issue which shows better quality images on the site.

GIFs are popular to use for productions. Allowing a quantity of information to be put out online quickly and in the style of the productions design theme. GIFs are a new design process to me and after a lot of research, trial and error they are now a tool I have been able to offer clients that have proved effective in promoting shows.

A Chorus Line (2022)

Brief:
To create eye catching social media posts using the content supplied such as text and still photography. The client relied heavily on the use of social media to promote their production of A Chorus Line from start to finish of the production, including a final GIF promoting the shows nomination for a NODA* award.

I also created Facebook banners for the company and its members to use on their own Facebook accounts. The final banner used a cast photo which meant utilising my Photoshop skills to 'cut out' the cast removing all background from the original photograph.
Working alongside the promotions team for the company the slides for Instagram were created and also used across their other social media platforms, Facebook and Twitter. With my Photoshop skills and having learned new Photoshop techniques I created the eye catching posts the client desired.
